Job Title: Senior Director for Strategic Growth and Partnerships

**Overview:**IBTCI is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Senior Director for Strategic Growth and Partnerships. As the Sr. Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies to drive the company's growth and foster strong client and partner relationships. The role of Senior Director for Strategic Growth and Partnerships will be crucial in identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and nurturing existing client and partner partnerships. This position is based in our Headquarters in Vienna, Virginia but is temporarily hybrid. The Senior Director for Strategic Growth and Partnerships will report to our Vice President and will be a full-time regular employee.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

Primary Focus on:

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business prospects, cultivating strategic partnerships, alliances, and client relationships.

  • Lead the process of identifying potential clients and partners, conducting outreach, and pitching our products/services to key decision-makers.

  • Maintain a pipeline of potential clients and opportunities, tracking progress and reporting on key performance metrics.

  • Secure partnership on three USG SB opportunities with viable primes for MERL related work.

  • Submit a competitive bid for an upcoming USG IDIQ as prime or in a major subcontractor role

    Partnerships:

  • Serve as the point of contact for key partners (local and international), ensuring their participation on key bids.

  • Understand partner, preferences, and pain points, actively seeking opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services.

Provide support in the following areas:

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's growth strategy, aligning it with the organization's vision and long-term goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, industry challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Define and implement actionable plans to capitalize on identified opportunities and overcome obstacles.

Organizational Development and Collaboration:

  • Work with IBTCI Practices as well as Business Development Team, operating under clear goals and guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., programs, and operations) to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Build knowledge management systems to enhance project implementation with IBTCI and industry best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of growth initiatives, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for the executive team, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommended actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven track record of at least 12 years in strategic business development, client and partner relations, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in teaming, client relations, outreach, strategic planning, or guidance for new business initiative’s role.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success leading efforts on winning MERL bids.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading successful multi-million dollar proposal.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and developing a diverse team of professionals.
  • Highly adaptable and proactive, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industries, and services related to the company's offerings.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Oral and written fluency in English is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working on USAID proposals required; other donor or USG agency experience.
  • Experience managing and coaching BD professionals, while prioritizing workloads and observing datelines.
  • Proficient Communicator
  • Expert writer and editor
  • Proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Arabic, French).

Education: Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment. IBTCI is allowing for temporary hybrid work in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area. This will be updated by the company.

**Supervisory Responsibility:**This position may not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: International travel may be required and may include travel to fragile or conflict-prone zones.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the U.S.A is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
